Piedmont Ponds
PIEDMONT PONDS
Location
I’m going to avoid giving out the exact location to these ponds — the landowners have been generous enough to allow seasonal public fishing ($1/day, bring cash) and I don’t think it’s my place to draw maps to their land for all to see! However, if you’re interested in exploring and fishing these ponds let me know and I’ll point you in the right direction. The journey is the destination, eh? I assume I’m preaching to the choir, but OBEY the RULES and please don’t litter!!!
General Info
FAIR WARNING: Bring bug repellant (LOTS of ticks) and don’t be surprised to have more than a couple run-ins with snakes. With that being said, if you’re willing to brave the snakes and ticks, you’ll find some nice largemouth bass, crappie, sunfish, catfish, and carp. You’ll find a variety of water to fish: overhanging trees, rip rap, weed beds, flats, etc etc.

Ward,
My future in-laws have 15 acres that I have never fished on. Let me know when you have an evening you would like to go.

Nice! Let’s do it… Don’t know what you have going on this weekend, but if I don’t head down to the lmfr (which if I do, obviously your invited) we should scope ‘em out.
I’m fairly new to the area and have been looking for a few places to fish. I would appreciate it if you could give me an idea of where these ponds are.
About where are these ponds? i keep hearing about them but can never find it
