Golden trout… Check.
Black bear… Check.
Grand slam (bow, brown, brookie, golden)… Check.
Accomplished my trip goals, but I really think I could spend the rest of my life exploring and fishing the sierras and never get tired or bored. Seriously…what a destination.
Pretty much had a panic attack driving in the Oakland/San Fran rush hour traffic.
Gonna set up shop in starbucks (or quit being a cheapo and buy the hotel Internet) tomorrow and post some pics.
Can’t wait to have wifi access for pics! Spent most of the day playing tourist in yosemite yesterday… But the fishing pit stops were wildly successful. It was a lot easier to find secluded (and ridiculously beautiful) places to fish. Picked up my first brookie ever… It didn’t even wait for my foam caddis to hit the water. It rocketed out of the water and grabbed the fly… Crazy. Brought a dozen plus to hand ( nice mixture of all 3 species) in no time, man I love this place.
Today… The hunt for goldens begins!
