River Carpsucker? Grass Carp? New to me.
Not sure what to think this one is…
barbel-less carp = carpsucker, grass carp, or something else?

Had a big guy straighten out the hook on my sjw. Too bad I didn’t realize it until I botched the hookset on 3 fish in a row after LDR’ing the big’un.
And… Reese would get mad if I didn’t include the costume she made me.

Grass carp was my first thought too… but I just haven’t seen them that gold before. Could be… I really am not sure. It looked exactly like the commons in the same pond system, but just without the barbels. Maybe some experts will weigh in

I don’t think that’s a river carpsucker. If it is, it’s a pretty big one…
I would also say it’s a regular grass carp, just kind of yellowish… They do come that way on occasion.

The other option would be a common/grass carp hybrid, but I don’t think that’s the case.
Patrick… how you been? You make the move or you still kicking it in AR? Thinking you’re both probably right… the mouth doesn’t look like it’s far enough on the bottom to be a carpsucker. gonna have to edit this so I don’t look quite so foolish, ha

The pond fishing is better in this part anyhow does anyone have some information on any cold rivers to catch some fish,particualarly searching out to find some flying carp,a few other guys have hooked some great numbers the last month.
